It was Monday morning that day.
I didn't wake up well.
I was late. Rushing everything,
starting from getting up from my bed to the bathroom,
breakfast, finally to the car and drive to the office.
Even my breathing was rushed.
Bad mood all over.
Speeding like hell, without regards to my own safety, as well as others'
That time I was worried more about the presentation to the client I had than my own life.
Stupid, I know...
Rushing, driving through the toll booth.
As I open my window to pay the guy,
suddenly the heat of the sun felt like it gave me a hard, stinging jab to my face.
I handed over the money to the guy, there.
Again, the terrible heat, crushed my mood even more.
But, the guy, sitting inside the booth,
took the money, put it inside the register,
count the change then gave it back to me...
He said, "Have a nice day." With a big and sincere smile.
It was so sincere it grew a smile on my face as well, smiling back at him.
Suddenly I just felt lighter than air, even though I know I'd still have to rush myself towards the office,
but everything is different.
A simple smile,
and a simple sentence, saying "Have a nice day",
really had a huge impact to myself and to my 'day', that day.
at the end of this sentence of my journal, that 'day' had just started...
but the smile kept on spreading, up until now.
Spread the smile,
Spread the love.
